We’re delighted to announce that for the coming year, Banana Moon Day Nursery will be supporting Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, which helps 90,000 children and young people each and every year.

Our aim is to raise £340.00 for this truly deserving cause by holding various fundraising events, including six nursery charity days, covering everything from ‘Dress as a Superhero Day’ to ‘Wear your PJs to Nursery Day’ – keep an eye out for further information so your children can get involved. We’ll promote the days on social media, and it would be fantastic if you would take part by posting your pictures online too.

You would be forgiven for assuming that Birmingham Children’s Hospital exists to service the local area, but as one of just four specialist children’s hospitals in the country, this centrally-located charity is here to take care of children from across the UK; only 1 in 5 children treated at the hospital are actually from Birmingham and just 1 in 8 from the West Midlands – all other patients are from further across the UK, some even from abroad.

The Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity continually strives to do more and make a real difference to sick children in their care and their families, helping to improve standards of excellence in research, education and treatment.
