It came as a big shock to us all last year when Dad was diagnosed with heart problems, resulting in open heart surgery shortly before Christmas.  The brilliance of those involved in his treatment and care inspired us to fund-raise for BHF so that already amazing possibilities can be made even better.

Throughout his treatment and recovery Dad never complained, so we're trying not to as we undertake a number of personal challenges during summer 2016:

David and Aran completed the 64 mile Cyclone challenge bike ride in June

David took on the 112 mile bike leg of a full distance triathlon and Abbie conquered her first junior triathlon event, both in July

On 10th September, all 4 of Dad's grandchildren (Abbie, Aran, Naomi & Katie) will run the Junior Great North Run, making sure the pressure is on Alison, David & Amanda ahead of the Great North Run itself the following day.

We're hoping to raise at least £1000 and hope you can help us towards this target.
