Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Those of you who know me, knows running and physical fitness is not my strong point! I started more activity recently in order for me to complete Total Warrior, a 12k course which I believe I may well be stretchered off 😂. Why on earth would I even consider this? Well… most of you will also know October 14th 2018 is a day that will be with me forever. This is the day, one month to the date after diagnosis I lost my mam to cancer. It was so advanced, gallbladder, liver and lung that nothing could be done but make her comfortable.
You all know what my occupation is and most of you will know some of the terrible things we are exposed to however I cannot express how the experience of seeing my mam fade every day has affected my life. St Benedicts hospice not only cared for my mam but also all of us as a family. The people working there are the true warriors and I will be eternally grateful to them..
Some of my colleagues know about my tuck shop racket at work which enables me to take small amounts of cash to the hospice here and there however it’s time to up the game!
I would be so grateful if you could donate. I get that times are hard but £1 would make such a difference. We never know what’s around the corner and when we or someone else we love may need a service like this.
Thank you to all my marra’s and thanks for looking.
