Story
On the 14th July 2013, i will be running the London 10k run in loving memory of my grandfather and to raise money for Khalsa Aid.
The run alone is definately a challenge for myself as it requires lots of getting fit time in the gym and changing my unhealthy lifestyle in to a strict healthy one!
It doesnt help that im not a runner either! Those that know me will agree that although i am genuinely active and on my feet for long hours- running is not something i enjoy!
Ive been involved in fundraisers before, from sky diving, hot coal walking to even raising funds to visit Haiti and shaheed parivaars in Punjab, but this time id like to do something in memory of my grandfather- Mehar Singh Kataria who died in February 2006.
A retired tailor who lived in East Ham- Mehar Singh Kataria was murdered in the comfort of his own home on February 3rd 2006. Upto today it was never known why he was murdered and no arrests have been made.
He left behind 5 children, 13 granchildren and many happy memories.
