Story

Please help us raise some money for this amazing charity with our unique challenge.  We are two educationalists that love sport and a sporting challenge.  More importantly we have seen, first hand the benefit that sport can bring to the lives of young people.

The benefits of sport, especially for youngsters are huge.  It instills discipline and a love of the outdoors and wellbeing.  It develops leadership and brother / sisterhood.  It aids with physical and mental health.  In an age when inactivity and all the associated problems are on the rise - it has to be a great idea.

So here’s the challenge.  Dominic Norrish will begin the Paris marathon on 12th April and the clock will start ticking.  It will pause when he finishes and then will restart when Bruce Wilson starts the London marathon two weeks later.  We have challenged each other to be under 8 hours for the combined events – two four-hour marathons.

Bruce – “I dedicate my training and run to my mate Steve Brooker & his family.  I spent many happy hours doing fun sporting stuff with him.  Miss you mate and thinking of you & the family. Kia Kaha. “

Right - enough words - time for training.  Please give what you can spare. Thank you.
