Virtual Fitness Challenge
BING would like to invite you all to join in our virtual fitness challenge. This challenge will begin at the start of March (to kick off tech month) and last for three months until the end of May. The aim of this challenge is to gain the greatest distance over the three months by walking, running, swimming, cycling, or rowing and submit your evidence to us. We will keep a record of your individual distance along with your branch's progress.
The branch that gains the most distance (on average per participant) over this time will be rewarded with a prize along with the individual who has gained the most distance. We look forward to hearing from you!
Competition Instructions
To enter the competition, could you email bing@iat.org.uk with
your name and the branch you are with. If you are not affiliated to a branch, do consider joining one and in the mean time you can still participate to the individual challenge. To confirm your registration, you will need to make a donation to AS-ET here. We suggest a minimum donation of £2.
Using the various phone apps (e.g., Fitbit) you can record your overall distance for the day and send in a screenshot/photo of this progress. You can send us emails, at bing@iat.org.uk, daily or save the photos up and send an email once a week. All we need is the date and distance, no other information is required. We will then keep a record of your personal distance and add it to your branch's progress.
To keep it fair, we will use the conversion rate below:
Walking/Running:
1km = 1km
Swimming
1km = 2km
Cycling/Rowing
1km = 0.3km
We would like to encourage that you send in pictures of your exercises or daily walks that we can post here. Stay tuned for regular updates on individuals progress and see which branch is taking the lead in this challenge.
Contact bing@iat.org.uk if you have any questions or queries.
Let the challenge
commence!
