Story
In the week commencing Monday 17th June, 27 members of Bedford Girls School will be taking part in 'Live Below the Line', a challenge set up by Restless Development to raise awareness of, and funds towards overcoming, poverty.
The challenge consists of participants having to live on no more than £1 per day for a total of 5 consecutive days. This £1 has to cover all food and drink, other than tap water! The aim of the project is to help people realise the difficulties that those in poverty routinely face whilst raising money to combat the problem. You can learn more details here: https://www.livebelowtheline.com/uk-en-thechallenge
Restless Development believe that the 3.5 billion people in the world who are under 25 are key to solving poverty; particularly as 60% of those young people are living in the world's poorest countries. BGS is proud of the girls who have taken the first step towards meeting this challenge and ask that you support them in their efforts.
