Raising donations for Teenage Cancer Trust’s South West Appeal.

My name is Melanie Crump. As well as being a celebrity makeup artist, I am also the academy principle at The Bath Academy of Media MakeUp (BAMM). We have teamed up with Academy and BAFTA award winning makeup artist, Peter Swords King and The Body Shop to search for the next shining star in makeup, whilst raising awareness and funds for Teenage Cancer Trust’s South West Appeal.

Teenage Cancer Trust is building the first specialist cancer unit for young patients living in the South West. The state-of-the-art unit will be in the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre as University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is the designated teenage and young adult principal treatment centre for the South West. This new specialist unit will mean for the first time young cancer patients aged 16 to 24 from Bristol, Bath, Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, will be treated with others their own age, in an environment suited to their needs.

 

The aim of the BAMM Re-Create Competition is not only to raise much needed funds, but also to inspire hope in teenagers with cancer through creative interpretation.

The competition is open to anyone who has raw creative talent, coupled with the determination and desire to become tomorrow’s leading light in makeup artistry. The winner and two runners up will undoubtedly receive a highly formidable start to their future career.

To enter, everyone will be required to donate £20  and  EVERY penny will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust. On receipt,we will then sendout an official competition pack. Good luck!

Prizes

First prize: The Intense Makeup Course for Media Makeup worth £9,600 including a fully comprehensive make up kit (course dates: 2 September 2013 - 13 December 2013) plus £500 worth of makeup from The Body Shop.

 

Second prize: The BAMM Beauty Bridal & Fashion Makeup Course, worth £4,680 (dates: October 5 – 8 December (weekends only) plus £300 worth of makeup from The Body Shop.

 

Third prize: A One Day BAMM Workshop (date and subject of choice) plus £100 worth of makeup from The Body Shop.
