Clean water is essential for life, but one in eight people in the world does not have access to it. This, and lack of safe sanitation, result in over two million people dying from water-related diseases every year. According to WHO/UNICEF, 4,000 children die each day – or one child every 20 seconds – due to unclean water and poor sanitation.

From every £1 donated, 77 pence get through to the poorest
WaterAid is an international organization that is dedicated to providing safe water, effective sanitation and hygiene education to the world’s poorest people.
