Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm going to be running the Bupa Great North Run in combat boots carrying a 20lb Bergan for 13.2 miles.
On my recent return to work after my second baby I wanted to set myself a personal challenge and at the same time give something back. With a little help from my husband (the boots/bergan suggestion), I decided on running the BUPA Great North Run and with your support help raise some money for the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.
The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund help past and present members of the RAF and their families through incredibly tough times. They provide a spectrum of care, supporting everyone from children growing up on RAF stations, to those serving today to keep our skies safe, to the veterans who fought for our freedom. They have supported a Second World War pilot in later life, the widow and children of an RAF reservist killed in action and provided practical help to a young RAF Regiment gunner injured in Afghanistan.
