Story
Dear Friends and Family
If my dream of running the Marathon des Sables (six marathons in six days in the Sahara desert) is ever going to come true, I’ll need to up the ante and start running more than 10K per week.
Everyone has to start somewhere. What better way than a 21K scenic route through four Royal Parks (Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, St James's Park and The Green Park)? I am aiming to complete the race in under two hours; the dream time being one hour and forty-six minutes – but let's not get ahead of ourselves!
It doesn't end there. The following week I will be running 15K as part of the Stroke Association Resolution Run.
I'm running both races in aid of the Stroke Association, the leading charity changing the world for people affected by stroke (for more information please see - http://www.stroke.org.uk/). I have chosen this charity as my friend's father recently suffered a stroke and it inspired me to do what I can to support her and her family during this very delicate time and this happens to be my firms charity of the year. I'd like to show my support by raising a minimum of £350 but I can’t do it alone...which is why I’m asking you; my friends and family, to support me in achieving this goal. Any donation big or small would be greatly appreciated not only by me but by the many individuals who benefit from this amazing charity.
Thank you in advance for your support.
