Story
I'm climbing because…everyone deserves their fundamental human rights -- food security, healthcare, housing, and education – be fulfilled, and Life Science Cares is bringing the strength of the local life sciences community together with the best local nonprofits to address these problems. With so much wealth in our sector and society, I want to do what I can to support the most vulnerable members of our society.
I am embarking on a 3-day journey 23 miles across the Presidential Traverse in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, with 20 passionate team members, to raise $25,000 for Life Science Cares.
The local life sciences industry brings together an incredibly talented and determined group of people who try to improve the human condition through their work. Life Science Cares, a Boston-based nonprofit, is uniting this community through its mission: “leveraging the intellectual, financial, and human capital of the life sciences industry in an effort to reduce the effects of poverty”.
Please join me in supporting this incredible cause! Funds raised from the Traverse will be used directly to support grant making across three key areas:
Survival: Addressing basic needs like food security, safety, health care, and housing to alleviate poverty.
Education: Supporting STEM education, college preparation and success, and educational enrichment to develop a diverse future workforce.
Sustainability: Supporting job creation, job training, mentoring, and economic development to sustainably alleviate poverty.
