I have a real passion for rugby, for running and for helping those less fortunate than me and so I decided to combine all three!
I was at the Aviva Premiership rugby final in late May and I came across the story of a young man called Joss Rowley stark. Joss who lived in Rotherham and played for Sheffield RUFC was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2012. He died in 2013 at the age of 16.
England rugby legend Lewis Moody met Joss during his battle and was astonished by his courage and determination even when he was in terrible pain and undergoing gruelling treatment. Lewis was so inspired by young Joss and after meeting him he decided to set up the Lewis Moody Foundation.
The Lewis Moody Foundation will help families affected by serious illness, offering days out and one-off experiences for children and their families as well as funding scientific research, aimed at saving young lives.
I was so moved my Joss' story and found myself wanting to do something to try and raise funds for the Lewis Moody Foundation.
So.... The new Premiership rugby season kicks off on the 6th September 2014 with a Double header at Twickenham stadium and it involves all four London teams. I have a ticket for the game and on the 1st September 2014 I shall set off from Hastings, East Sussex and run the 175 miles to Twickenham, stopping off on route at the homes of Wasps RFC, London Irish RFC, Saracens RFC and Harlequins RFC. Pretty much 6 marathons in 6 days.

Many thanks people!
