Story

In a moment of gross stupidity I have signed up for the Thames Marathon. No this isn’t a run or walk along the Thames - it is a 14k swim in it!.

I am seriously worried I may have bitten off more than I can chew! I did a 4K swim in the Thames two weeks ago - halfway through I had swallowed so much Thames water I felt sick! By the end of it I was completely knackered - and that was 10k short of the Thames Marathon distance!

In preparation for the ‘Ash’s Big Swim’ on 4th August, the week before I am doing the 6.5k River Arun swim (28 July) and the 100 mile Prudential Ride London: Surrey bike ride (29 July) - I think it is going to be a pretty tough week!

I am doing this to raise much needed funds for Crohns & Colitis UK which is a brilliant charity striving to improve the quality of life of those afflicted by this terrible disease. We need to find a cure. Every donation will help us do this and will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your amazing support and generosity.
