Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Finally I have been brave enough (or is it madness!) to run the London Marathon!

I will be raising money for 'Sparks' The Children's Medical Research Charity, whose aim is for all babies to be born healthy and stay healthy.

Approximately 1 in 30 babies in the UK are born with a health condition that will affect them and their families for the rest of their lives. Sparks have already committed over £19.5m to fund over 211 groundbreaking research projects across the UK. But every year Sparks runs out of money before they run out of deserving projects.

My reason for choosing to support Sparks is because I have friends who have had to cope with children being born with health issues and it would be nice to help fund research to prevent this happening to other families.

My training has already begun and as you can see from my photos I have even braved the snow, ice and below freezing temprature of North Wales at Christmas in an effort to get through that 26 miles without mishap!

So please dig deep and donate now to a very worthy cause.

Many thanks

Arlene
