Story
Our managing director, Martin Brown, will be supporting Glasgow Children's Hospital (formally Yorkhill Hospital) by trekking 90km into the Arctic Circle, starting from Rovaniemi in Finland. The three day trek will push Martin to the very limit as he battles the elements while pulling his equipment in temperatures as low as minus 32 degrees!
160,000 babies, children and young people are treated at Glasgow Children’s Hospital every year. Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity sits firmly at the heart of the hospital, raising money to ensure their young patients and their families receive the best possible care.
Funds raised as part of this event will help fund:
- Enhanced medical equipment to help doctors, nurses and surgeons treat children;
- Innovative play programmes that help to distract, teach and treat children during their stay;
- Family support services that care for parents, families and carers during difficult times;
- Groundbreaking paediatric research to help future generations of Scotland's children
