Story
I am running back to back marathons in London and Brighton (with my mate Oscar), in memory of my grandpa, Richard Thwaites, who died as a result of Leukaemia. I saw first hand how horrible a condition this is, not just to grandpa but to his family and friends.
Any donation to help fight against this nasty disease and reduce the pain of those suffering with it would be enormously appreciated.
The photo above was taken in 2015, and shows 5 out of the 6 grandchildren to Richard. The 6th grandchild, Oliver, is a GB long distance runner, and may well have been competing when this photo was taken!
My employer will also very kindly double match any donations, for every £1 given they will also give £2, meaning even small donations will make a significant difference.
Leukaemia Care is a national charity dedicated to ensuring that anyone affected by blood cancer receives the right information, advice and support. Around 34,000 people are affected by blood cancer each year in the UK and we're here to support them through their diagnosis, treatment and beyond.
