Story
I spent 8 years working with young people across London; young people who had offended, young people without homes, disenfranchised from their families, selling drugs, stealing cars, some had been stabbed, some had seriously injured others or seen their best friends lay dying in the streets. Many came from poor families where they'd seen and been victim to domestic violence. Often they'd dropped out of school or been expelled commonly due to behavioural challenges linked to undiagnosed learning difficulties. Poverty brings with it so many problems. These young people, these children, whatever their situation all craved stability, guidance, support and care. The Arbonne Charitable Foundation supports organisations to help raise disempowered young people up, building confidence, increasing self-esteem, nurturing their leadership skills so that they can flourish and transform their lives for the better.
We were all teenagers once but most of us will have been lucky enough to have made it to adulthood relatively unscathed. Others aren't so lucky.
So, over a 12 hour stretch a number of brave and determined souls will undertake the task of walking all three of Yorkshires highest peaks, with the target of raising £20,000 for the Arbonne Charitable Foundation. It'll be physically and mentally challenging - most of the team have never been on a mountain, most have never hiked - but the end goal will sweat and the pain will be so worth it.
So please stretch and donate what you can and show your support this worthy cause.
Thank you so much.
Much love, Charlotte and the Team!
