Story
After suddenly losing his wife on the 9th February 2016 to inclusion body myositis (IBM) Rob Eddon and his family set a family fund called 'Anne's Wish' in memory of Anne, in order to help fund research into the condition.
Aqueduct Marina heard about the effects of the condition when we were introduced to Rob during arrangements for his new narrowboat build. We were keen to know more and being aware of how much time Rob and Anne liked to spend on their narrowboat, we decided on Anne's Wish supported by Muscular Dystrophy UK being our chosen charity for 2017.
On Saturday 9th September, we will be pushing ourselves through 12 miles of mud, sweat and tears, working together to conquer 20 punishing obstacles and helping to raise awareness and funds in the fight against muscle-wasting conditions.
We are taking on Tough Mudder, arguable the UK's most challenging obstacle run, in the hope that we can raise as much money as possible to help drive forward research into finding a treatment for the rare condition, inclusion body myositis (IBM).

We would appreciate any donation you can offer, from the cost of a cup of coffee to a pound for every mile along the canal.
