Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit the Apollo Teaching Services JustGiving page.
On Wednesday 1st June, the members of staff from all the Apollo Teaching Services’ offices are coming together to complete the Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge in order to raise money for Signposted Cymru.
Setting off at 5:30am from the Head Office in Bridgend, the Apollo staff will make the three-hour journey to North Wales where they will climb Snowdon mid-morning. Once the first mountain has been completed, they will head south to Cader Idris and undertake their climb as the sun is setting. This challenge will come to a close back in South Wales for the third, and final, part of the challenge. Apollo members of staff will climb Pen-Y-Fan in the early hours of Thursday 2nd June before the 24-hour cut off mark and hopefully see the sunrise to finalise the challenge.
All money raised will go towards Signposted Cymru: a community-based service, that helps people with mental health and well-being issues. Signposted Cymru is an initial and immediate intervention with early prevention for individuals struggling and needing support with mental health and well-being issues. Signposted Cymru offers responsive, tailored help and support for individuals who strive for a brighter future.
As an organisation, we felt that Signposted Cymru was the right charity to raise money for as all proceeds raised for the charity go directly towards helping individuals with their needs. It is important to all of us at Apollo that we can give back to the local community, as a result of this charity.
