Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As a tribute to my dad who passed away in 2016
from a brain tumour, myself & my family would like to show our appreciation and give something back to the Irish Cancer Society for their Support. Covid19 is proving extremely difficult for the front line staff but the Cancer night nurses are still visiting houses around our communities. I would like to support them by challenging myself to a 24km walk with a difference. I am going to walk around a 100m track in Harry Byrnes car park. Why 24? 24 represents the hours in the day and cancer is with you day and night. Like many families we have a sister living with cancer so doing this is small compared to her daily struggles but a way of showing our support. I will be walking the lap 240 times & would like to dedicate each lap to someone we have lost to cancer, someone who has won the battle or someone fighting the fight. If you would like to dedicate a lap to your family member or friend contact Alan, Carmel or myself. Don't forget to log onto Harry Byrne's social media on the day & watch it live streamed.
Stay at home everyone & stay safe.
Thanks for your support.
