Bath Half Marathon 2018 · 4 March 2018 ·
Hi all,
I am running the Bath Half Marathon on 4th March for Olivia Kershaw, the daughter of my friends Simon and Bex. Olivia is just over a year old and struggling. She was infected with a parasite before she was born, the chances of this happening are 1:100,000. The parasite caused inflammation in her brain and eyes. As a result of three months of intensive care, three brain operations and a long list of other procedures Olivia has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, blindness and other afflictions.
Twenty of us are running the Bath Half in order to raise money for Helen House, a charity that provides palliative care for terminally ill children which will be supporting Olivia. Together we aim to raise an ambitious £21000 for such a deserving charity.
