We fund research into SMA to help find a cure and treatments

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, celebrating my 70th birthday.

To mark the occasion I'd appreciate a donation to The SMA Trust.  SMA is an acronym for Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a type of muscular dystrophy that my nephew's son was diagnosed with recently.  It's a genetic condition and doctors advise that he will never sit up unaided, crawl or walk.

Whilst there is presently no cure, researchers across theworld are actively trying to find one.  Your donations are essential to assisting in this quest.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
