Story
This August the Watts family - Emily 15, Jessica 13, Tristan 12, Vanessa and Anthony will be cycling LEJOG (Land End to John O Groats) a circa 1000-mile road trip over 10 days. It will be a grueling challenge for both old and young in our family. The knees are starting to crunch under the training regime in preparation. We will be self-sufficient providing our own back up bus following the cyclists who will be taking turns to cover the route relay style.
We leave early August to make best use of the daylight hours and reduced school traffic. Our route will wind through as much quieter country roads as possible, but some busy routes are just unavoidable. We know it will be a tough challenge not just on the road but also in the bus with tired minds and bodies. However, we are reminded that any pain we put ourselves through is nothing to that felt by families who tragically loose a child. With this upper most in our minds we are aiming to raise £50,000 towards the fantastic work HOPE HOUSE do every day making a real difference to families lives at a time of great need.
HOPE HOUSE are an amazing Children’s Hospice in Oswestry and Conwy providing much needed Support and Care Services for terminally ill children and their families.
I would ask that you open the video link below and listen to Arthur’s story told by his incredibly courageous parents. I am happy to admit that each time I watch this I get very emotional. As a father of 3 children whom I adore I could not imagine anything worse than losing one of them. It is a tragic reality that families go through this but what is clear to us is that people who are fortunate enough not to experience this pain and loss should consciously consider helping however they can.

Please help us help HOPE HOUSE make a difference to families at the most challenging of times.
Many thanks
