Story
Over the last year, I have watched the images coming out of Syria and particularly Aleppo, and I have felt so powerless do to anything about it. I looked at charities concerned with the Syrian crisis and refugees and chose Oxfam as the charity that I felt was working on this humanitarian catastrophe. We in the UK are a bit preoccupied with Brexit and what our trade agreements will be in the new order, but I look at Aleppo and see the destruction, and see a much bigger problem to be addressed right now. So I dedicate my run to the work that Oxfam is doing in Aleppo and I would be very grateful if you would support this appeal.
10 years ago, I asked my work colleagues to join me in the Corporate Challenge of the Bath Half Marathon. Bravely they did and we raised a lot of money for charities. To my great surprise, we are mounting another challenge in this the company's 30 celebrations. It would be great if could take the time to look at the other entrants and their charities - you can do so on our website.
Many thanks
Tony
