London Marathon 2023 · 23 April 2023 ·

Our amazing team of runners are taking part in the London Marathon as part of the 30th Anniversary for the charity and trying to reach a total of £30,000. They will be raising vital funds to ensure we can support more families affected by missing.

Story

I've been running on and off for years, and really wanted to set a target to aim for.  What better target than the London Marathon?

I previously got a place in the London Marathon over 15 years ago, but had to defer a couple of times due to injury and finally ended up pulling out.  As a consolation, I ran the Brighton Marathon in 2011 but since then I've not attempted anything longer than a 5k run.

With 9 weeks to go and with training going well, I'm feeling confident that I'll at least get to the start line!

I am raising money for the Missing People charity which is the only dedicated charity in the UK that provides a lifeline to anyone affected by missing. It supports hundreds of missing and exploited children every week, and offers help to adults on the brink of despair and suicide. It also supports families living through the trauma of not knowing where their loved ones are, the charity helps them to cope, and to find hope. Your sponsorship will help the charity to continue to be a lifeline to someone in crisis.
