Story
Hi and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
There'll be a group of us cycling the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 mile challenge on 2nd August 2015 in memory of my friend Paul's little girl, Olive.
The fund was set up by Paul and his wife Clare after their daughter sadly passed away last year.
Their words explain the cause better than I ever could:
Our beautiful daughter Olive was born on 7th June 2014 with a very complex heart condition, sadly too complex even for the team at Great Ormond Street Hospital to fix. After two 9-hour open-heart procedures in the space of a week, and another week of being fully supported on ECMO, our brave little girl passed away in our arms on 22nd July 2014, only 6 weeks after she was born.
Why are we doing this? Clare and I are determined that everything we do in Olive's memory can help other sick children and their families. For this reason we have chosen to support Great Ormond Street Hospital – specifically we want to fund break-through heart research projects and also contribute to further advance the care of all GOSH patients and families.
Please give whatever you can and feel comfortable giving. Your contribution however big or small will be greatly appreciated, and will be going towards a genuinely life changing organisation and helping countless people.
All monies raised will go towards the Olive Martin Brighter Future Fund which Paul and Clare setup to help fund break-through heart research projects at Great Ormond Street Hospital and also contribute to further advance the care of all patients and families.
Thank you so much for your support.
Anthony
