Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in the Century Cycle Challenge and am planning to cycle 102 miles from Nevill Holt in Leicestershire to Brancaster Staithe on the Norfolk coast on May 21st to raise money for Nacoa - the National Association for Children of Alcoholics.

This is a very small charity which offers huge support for children affected by their parents drinking, the affects of which are carried through to adulthood sometimes with devastating consequences.  Whilst cycling I will be thinking about my brother Alec 9/3/53-1/1/11 RIP.  He would have approved of this organisation had he known about it!!

The route is initally very hilly and then flatter (phew!).  I have never cycled this far in one day before - I am hoping for tail winds!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Nacoa and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Every donation, however small, is very greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much.  Annie x

About the charity

1 in 5 children in the UK are affected by their parents' alcohol problems. They are often frightened and isolated, with no one to turn to for help. Nacoa responds by providing a free, confidential telephone, 1-2-1 chat and email helpline.
