Story
October is national breast cancer awareness month, and also marks one year since my family was directly affected by this disease.
On the 3rd of October 2019 my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer which hit our family hard. The last 12 months have been a struggle not just for her but for the rest of our family too. After seeing first hand how breast cancer affects entire families, I want to do what I can to help ease the burden on others going through their own struggle with this disease.
One year on from my mum’s diagnosis, she will be shaving my head to help the campaign raise money and awareness for HBCF and the amazing work they do to support people affected by breast cancer.
As thanks for all the generosity, donations of $50 or more will be put in the draw to win local luxury goods, that will be drawn October 3rd, the day of the shave!
1st prize: Pamper box includes over $200 worth or pamper products and local sparkling wine.
2nd prize: A case of pink sparkling wine from Peterson’s Champagne House.
3rd prize: A champagne beverage pack.
