Story
Playing over the park,
And tucking me in after dark,
Your gentle and loving hands,
Taking me to the beach to play in the sands,
Now things are not the same,
Cause my grandad has forgotten my name.
You were the life of our family parties,
A walk to the shop to buy us sweets and smarties,
On the way home collecting conkers,
You were always mad, absolutely bonkers,
You always made everyone smile,
Left them laughing for a while,
But now you need your space,
Cause my grandad has forgotten my face.
You may never know how much you mean to us,
You may not like all the attention and fuss,
When things start to get dark,
Just know you are in all of our hearts,
My grandad has and always will be,
The bright light that shines within me,
Its ok if you can not remember my face or name,
I will still love you all the same,
You made such a big imapct on my life thus,
I remember enough for the both of us.
