Maci, my Guide Dog, a white Labrador, she is just over Three years old.  She is my second guide  my first being Erin, a black Collie, Retriever with white chest markings.  Erin gave me independence and confidence.  Erin enabled me to take part in my first Grandsons Oliver life independently.  I have achieved so much with a Guide Dog Erin & now Maci,

Erin passed away suddenly with cancer, just before retiring.  It broke my heart and affected so many people around us.  

Our fundraising started with £130  donations in memory of Erin.  So many wanted to share our story and continue meeting Maci that our fundraising garden tea parties  began and have continued their journey, with Guide Dogs!

 I am registered severely sighted with Retina Pigmentosa.  My  Maci is my lifeline. These  Fundraising events, Tea parties, barbecues Carol concerts etc are my contribution to Guide Dogs and my “Thank You”!  

Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss that has a significant impact on their daily lives. Of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone and lead lonely, isolated lives. Guide Dogs works for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, for a world where being blind or partially sighted is not what defines you. A world with enough support to make the challenges of sight loss no barrier to fulfilling hopes and dreams.

 The cost of a guide dog is £55,000 please keep donating.

V E DAY 08/05/2020

Thank you to all our neighbours for celebrating V E Day with us.  We raised £ 130    towards our £2500 Neylond puppy name target.  £212 in total with 2 extra family contributions. What a way to celebrate V E Day.
