Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you may know in May 2011 I was diagnosed with CLL a cancer I had never even heard of before. Of course I had heard of Leukaemia but I never knew there were so many types & being told if you had to get cancer, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia is the best one to get. Not really what you want to hear. So that was that, I've got IT they can’t get rid of IT so I'm left in a state of limbo, a cliffhanger of life as some have put it. Course of action 'watch & wait' for how long who knows.

I found CLL Support Association doing a web search & thank heavens I did, they have supplied me with much needed CLL support literature the website is fantastic & I've just attended a CLLSA conference which had a brilliant presentation about dealing with diagnosis. All this is run by volunteers.

To me having CLL is like being a member of a club that I never wanted to join, one I can't leave, so while I'm here I'm going to make the most of it my way.

Thanks for your support
