Fundraising for Mind
Story
Sally Wilson (founder of Simply Skin UK in Teddington) and myself Anne Strong (founder of Teddington Physio and Pilates) have been working alongside one another as friends and colleagues for the past 10 years.
We have decided that we would like to do a small event to show support for our lovely local community which has faced so much hardship on many levels since March last year.
Mental health and well being is incredibly important but unfortunately is often neglected, so we are hoping that our Big Wave 🙌 event on Zoom will allow people of all ages to feel connected and supported, and that we will raise some money for the fantastic mental health charity Mind and Young Minds.
Sally and I lost a dear friend 10 years ago to mental health illness and we are acutely aware now, as we come up to the anniversary of her death, of how so many people will have also been affected by loss, sadness, loneliness, and mental health difficulties over the past few months.
So please come and join us on Monday 18th January at 7pm to show your support for one another. This will be followed at 7.30pm by a free Stretch class run by Anne. Simply log onto the Zoom meeting and join us for a wave and you are very welcome to also join the stretch class for some time to yourself and to help you unwind and relax. If you would like to make a donation that would be fantastic, but ultimately we’d just like to see some friendly faces.
