I am definitely not a cyclist but I am getting on my bike in aid of the Head Boys Charities, I must be crazy!
This year's charities are Cure Parkinson's Trust, Fight for Sight and Malaria Consortium
Four days of fabulous cycling across the entire width of the country, from the Irish Sea to the North Sea coast, passing through stunning Lake District countryside and over North Pennine peaks towards the historical harbour at Tynemouth. Here is what I am up to:
4th April: Cycle from Whitehaven to Keswick – distance approximately 35 miles; about 1050 m of ascent.
5th April: Cycle from Keswick to Alston – distance approximately 45 miles; about 1500 m of ascent.
6th April: Cycle from Alston to Castleside/Allensford – dis-tance approximately 35 miles; about 1250 m of ascent.
7th April: Cycle from Castleside/Allensford to Tynemouth – distance approximately 30 miles; about 600 m of ascent. Finished, phew, hopefully in one piece.
