Story
I was keen to do something that would really challenge me this year. I was due to run the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday 15th March, but with the current COVID-19 pandemic, I must ensure that I’m not putting my family, friends and colleagues at risk. Therefore I made the decision to run my own Half around the beautiful town of Corsham.
I will be running in aid of Wiltshire Air Ambulance, which I’m sure is very close to the hearts of many. I work for Grant UK in Devizes and we actively support this incredible charity with various fundraising activities throughout the year. It’s great to be able to add this event to the mix and as a company we’re so pleased to be part of their fundraising journey this year.
About WAA...
Wiltshire Air Ambulance turns 30 on 15th March, which is the same date that Bath Half Marathon falls on.
We want to celebrate in style, so join us as we mark the occasion by tackling the 13.1 mile flat, fast paced course around the picturesque city of Bath!
In 2019, our incredible fundraisers raised an epic £27,000, this has enabled us to keep flying in Wiltshire and surround counties. This is a very popular event and one that kicks off our events calendar for the year and one that our fundraisers keep coming too!
#TeamWAA are some of the most inspirational people, you'll ever meet. So whatever your reason for running, run to help Wiltshire Air Ambulance continue to keep flying and saving lives.
