I managed the great Run - it took me 2hrs 14 mins though. My legs are still hurting a bit and I am very happy! I hope to run again. Thanks everyone for their contribution!
I will run the Great North Run for Macmillan Cancer Support this September. I haven't run for a while (the last and only half-marathon was in 2005). I have never run for a charity (in Germany this is a concept not really very known). I am also a bit lazy. But I have started my proper training this monday (12/4), running 45 minutes every other day. I think Macmillan Cancer Support is a really good cause, supporting people with cancer in every sort of way, including those ways that a doctor is not usually involved in. So hopefully I manage to keep running all the 21, odd kilometres, maybe even within the crazily optimistic 2 hours 5 minutes I put down I would need. Thanks very much! Danke! Anna
