Sheffield RAG - BUMMIT - Budapest · 1 June 2010 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for Bummit 2010 and the Sheffield Half Marathon.
Bummit is part of the University of Sheffield Students Union and Sheffield RAG (Raising and Giving) it's a mass hitch hike that has been taking place since 2003 with over 300 students taking part each year in order to raise money for charity.
So this Easter (leaving March 24th) my team will be hitch hiking from Sheffield over 2,000 km all the way to Budapest (via a secret halfway point announced on the day of departure) on a travel budget of only £15.
We have to raise a minimum of £200 so I'm setting myself the extra challenge of running the Sheffield Half Marathon in the hope that you will donate! It would be a massive personal achievement for a very worthy cause as the money raised will go to two local charities: Catch 22 and Fable that aim at improving the local community.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Donations however small are really appreciated!
P.S for those of you who are worried about safety (e.g. parents) Sheffield RAG has a tried and tested safety system for the journey and we will also be trying to blag free train rides etc. and each team has to have a minimum of one boy!
