Story
I recently made a '30 before 30' list and the first thing I wanted to do was to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. My problem is that I am talentless, don't drink and therefore couldn't do a dryathalon and love eating/am way too chubby to do any kind of charity run and I have nothing of value to sell to raise money. Then I heard about the charity Little Princess Trust who provide wigs to children in the UK and Ireland who have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatments. After recently losing a family friend to cancer at the age of seven, this struck me as something really positive I could do.
I realised that as well as donating 12 inches of my hair to Little Princess (which is the length required to be put with similar hair and be made into a wig) I could ask friends, family and any other generously spirited people out there to sponsor me to do so and any money I might raise would go to Multiple Sclerosis Society which is a charity very close to my heart. Therefore I could help these two incredible charities at the same time.
I've always had really long hair and it's like my security blanket which may sound silly but it's a difficult thing for me to get it cut short, however if it can give another little girl or boy a little piece of security then it is more than worth it.
Thank you so much and lots of love xxx
