Story
Having lost My Dad to cancer 4 years ago, this summer my Mum was diagnosed with Esophageal cancer that had spread to the liver, and was terminal (non operational).
Mum sadly passed away on Sunday 14th November and is now back in the arms of her beloved husband, my Dad. I would like to celebrate her life, and so i am asking for donations to help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
During the last few months after mum's diagnosis the local Macmillan team were fantastic, a continual support and presence not only for mum but for myself too.
I want to raise as much money as possible to help support these amazing men and women who help to guide patients and their families through some of the most distressing points in their lives, offering more than advice, but also a safe space to ask questions and vent fears and frustrations.
1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, this is a scary figure, so if there is any way to soften the devastating blow that this news can bring by knowing there are people to turn to and ensuring continued funding then I cant think of a more fitting tribute to a most wonderful and caring woman..
