Story
After much procrastination and a tendon injury I am finally running a marathon, something I have wanted to do for a long time!
Some of you who know me very well will know of my obsession with flowers and appreciation for nature. My father was also a great lover of nature and wildlife and we would be subjected to endless documentaries (which we loved) growing up, and lived in a house which was a bit like a mini zoo, overrun with lots of pets, especially parrots and Macaws! He would have been truly thrilled to know I am supporting this charity.
World Land Trust is a British charity that protects the world's most biologically significant and threatened habitats acre by acre. Through a network of partner organisations around the world WLT funds the creation of reserves, by buying areas of land and provides permanent protection for all sorts of habitats and wildlife. The WLT also channels its energies into re-forestation by planting trees.
Now more than ever with so many examples of unusual weather patterns and climate change it seems even more important to protect natural environments rather than farm them.
In addition here are are some of the seriously cute animals you would be protecting! https://www.worldlandtrust.org/species/mammals/
Every donation of £5 plants a single tree
Every donation of £25 buys a quarter acre of wild land
Every donation of £50 buys a half acre of wild land
Every donation of £100 buys an acre of wild land
Obviously you'd want to plant at least several trees so they can keep each other company! ;)
Thank you so much,
Anna x
