Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I had  Breast Cancer in 2016 to grade 3. I had 6  gruelling rounds of chemotherapy, followed by a mastectomy. I finished with 12 rounds of radiotherapy.  I have since developed lymphoedema in my left hand side and I will live with this condition for the rest of my life (you’ll find me looking like macca pacca with a swollen arm).

I then had an ovarian cancer scare and a radical hysterectomy followed.  This has been very tough as it resulted in an instant menopause.

On a positive note, in 2018 I began my journey to reconstruction. I have had 4 operations to reconstruct in Whiston Liverpool. I had  the DIEP operation.  Recovery is hard, but worth it!

Summary—my body has taken a beating.

I often worry  about Cancer returning, but if it did return I’d hope that there would be treatment to extend my life and I hope that we can all make a donation so that all of our lives are protected.

This is also to help the lives of all of the beautiful women that live with this life limiting illness.

share my story in the hope that it helps other women and to give hope that you can carry on.
