Story

Hello,

A couple of months ago, I decided to set myself a challenge to run a new race for me- the 10k. This was just a personal goal, as I have never done this sort of distance before and I wanted to prove I wasn't just an 800m runner or a plodder round the park.

So I signed up to the Clapham 10k series on the 24th July, not a high profile race, just one which is close to where I live and there was a free t-shirt!!

However, on the 17th June my life and my families was changed as we lost our beloved grandma, wife and mum. She died peacfully and after a fantastic life filled with happiness and love.

Grandma suffered from diabetes and made a request that any donations should go to Diabetes UK.

So while on my early morning run this week, I thought rather than do this run just for a personal goal, make it into something for my grandma and help her raise money for the cause that meant so much to her. Now I have raised the bar and my aim is to do it in under 50 minutes.

If you would like to help me and my grandma raise money for this cause, then please just add whatever you can.

She will be so proud that the end of her life is helping others live theirs!

Thank you for taking time to read this and donate.

Love to all,

Anna xx
