Story
Project Plummet
Right peeps, it would seem that I am having my mid-life crisis early and in the year of my 30th birthday have decided to fling myself out a plane to raise money for The National Childbirth Trust. The Trust provides antenatal classes for parents to be but is not funded by the NHS so those who want to attend have to cough up! When I was pregnant there were no NHS funded antenatal classes running in my area and as we had no idea how to have a baby (turns out its a bit more complicated than just pushing!) we signed up to NCT classes. The classes provided us with fantastic information and support but just as importantly we met the greatest bunch of other parents to be. We turned out to be each other's lifelines during the early months of having a baby and we see each other regularly (our get togethers involve slightly more alcohol than they used to!) and love watching our little ones play and grow together. All very soppy but the point of my skydive is to help raise money for lower income families to enable them to attend NCT classes and gain the knowledge, support and friendship that makes the well scary experience of having a baby that little bit easier.
We're all a bit skint and times is definitely hard but I am petrified of flying, heights and falling so if you can chuck a few quid my way it would make this ridiculous decision all worth it!
Thanks loads
