Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running to help support the essential life saving service offered by our volunteer lifeboat crews. It costs over £400,000 every day to operate and maintain our 230 lifeboat stations, and donations such as yours are the only way that the RNLI can continue to maintain its 'ring of safety' around the British Isles.
By the time I take part in The Great North I will have been running for 2 years, my first race being the Peterborough 4k Fun Run in October 2010. Since then I have gone on to enter numerous road and trail events with Graham, family and friends. Highlights have included numerous 10k's and some bonkers races such as The Beast, Survival of the Fittest and a Notorious Night Run as well as a Mo Run, Santa Run and 2 half marathons.
Becoming a member of Sleaford Striders Running Club has upped my game, introduced me to a whole host of new events and gained me a great circle of friends.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now. I look forward to running my little (well, long compression!) socks off.
Many thanks, Ann x
