In memory of Marcus Rhodes
We train amazing hearing dogs to transform the lives of deaf people

Story

In memory of Marcus's birthday on 8/8/22 when Marcus would have been 27.  Gryffin, my assistance dog and I are going to see how many miles we can walk between 8/8/22 and 22/8/22

We hope you'll sponsor us and I hope I don't fall yet again!🤞

Marcus loved animals throughout his life, as anyone who met him will know how much he loved our cat Bobby and the dogs and cats of family and friends.  From being very small, he loved to have his photo taken cuddling a dog, cat or other animals.

When I applied for a hearing dog from dogs for deaf people after losing my hearing in 2015,  Marcus was very enthusiastic about this, and looked forward to the prospect of having a dog as part of our family.  Sadly Marcus died in a car accident on 2 May 2018 and did not have the opportunity to meet Gryffin but we know Marcus would have loved Gryffin, as Max, Oliver, Magnus and their dad do, unlike Bobby!

Since Gryffin arrived in July 2021 he has brought much happiness and fun into our lives with his friendly outgoing nature and zest for life!  Gryffin helps me by making people aware of the challenges of hearing loss.

Gryffin's mischievous ways, sociable nature and love of food, make me smile.  He reminds me in so many ways of Marcus.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and your support.
