This year I reach  25 years with Saint Catherines Hospice.

To celebrate the milestone and raise funds for Saint Catherine’s I've signed up to tackle an Everest Base Camp Challenge early next year. The trip  is 18 days from March 22nd to April 8th 2013. We will be trekking up to an altitude of  5,332m in order to reach the base camp at the foot of mount Everest.

I am looking  forward to  experiencing  a  different culture and  the scenery will be awesome but most importantly I am trekking to raise awareness and funds for  a very worthy cause.
Preparing will be challenging too as I'll need to increase my fitness and stamina  and I'm hoping to enlist friends and family to walk,run,cycle along with me over the next 6 months.

For me the trip will be the fulfilment of a personal ambition as well as a chance to support Saint Catherine’s and the  fantastic  work it does in the community.
