Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page
Hi
My name is Ann Duthie and last year I turned 50, however in July 2012 I thought that turning 50 was never going to happen. I was diagnosed with two separate instances of cancer in the space of a week, firstly with ovarian cancer and then tonsil cancer, but here I am two surgeries, a colostomy bag and three lots of treatment later trying to carry on as before, back running, dancing (in my kitchen), relaxing with yoga and heading back into the work place. Even after all that has gone on here I am getting ready to take on new challenges.
In March I was model for the Courage on the Catwalk Aberdeen run by Friends of Anchor, which was a fashion show where all the models have been affected by various forms of cancer. However the Catwalk has come and gone and I need something to fill the rehearsal nights, so just to keep me going I will get my trainers on and take part in the Baker Hughes 10k, again for Friends of Anchor. Through the fashion show and by fund raising it will help to promote Friends of Anchor and the amazing services they provide to cancer patients, families and friends.
Life is precious and no matter how hard it gets you have to battle through the storm, if your umbrella of life blows away remember you don’t have to wait for the storm to pass get out there and dance in the puddles.
