Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you know, in 2016 my youngest daughter Rosie, then aged 3, was taken suddenly ill and ended up having life saving emergency surgery at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital to remove what transpired to be a large omental lymphangioma. These are very rare and we had no idea that she had one in her abdomen until she started to deteriorate very quickly after nursery one day. All the medical staff we dealt with, from the paramedics who rushed her to hospital, to the wonderful ICU nurses and especially the highly skilled surgeons who carried out her operation were amazing and we couldn’t have asked for better care during a hugely difficult time. Rosie recovered well and is now a happy little girl who loves spending time with her sisters, doing gym and ballet, going to school and playing with her friends. It is an absolute joy for us to watch her grow and we know that had it not been for the superb care she received, her story could have had a very different ending. That’s why I decided to dust off my running shoes (after 5 years!) and train for the Royal Parks Half Marathon in order to raise some money for this wonderful hospital. Anything you can spare would be very much appreciated and it really is going to a great cause.
Thanks so much,
Anjie
