In 1996 my Godson Elliott was born as a healthy child but at the age of 2 things seemed to slow down in his progress. Normal things like speech, mobility and continence stopped. We were given the devastating news that Elliott was 1 in 40,000 males to be diagnosed with syndrome, leaving him needing lifelong 24/7 care. Elliott is now 24 and although he has challenges his smiles are amazing. I am raising awareness for Rett syndrome by running 40 miles over the month is October. Please support me no matter how small for this worthy cause.
