This page has been created in honour of my beloved Dida/Didi/Nan, Mrs Bela Dey (late) who sadly passed away on the 3rd December 2021. 

My Dida was the strongest woman to have ever lived. She was my rock, my best friend and the one I could turn to with anything. I can’t put into words how much I will miss her but all I know is I’ll continue to make her forever proud.. I knew and everyone else knew how proud I made her. 

Dida was an independent woman, she relied upon no one. From doing her own shopping, to going to her weekly exercise classes and daily walks. She always made sure she had her own back and took care of herself.

Our family will be incomplete without you Dida, but we know you’d be happy to reunite with the rest of our angels up there.

Cancer Research has always been a charity close to our hearts as a family with various members passing from Cancer, including my Dadu/Grandad. After her passing, it took us by surprise to find out Dida had low grade Lymphoma for twelve years. I had only found out about Dida’s cancer in 2016 when it had became more aggressive. Dida managed everything herself, from going to appointments alone, to going through chemo alone. She never wanted to trouble anyone and this portrayed the kind of courageous woman she was.
